The Chiaravalle Abbey complex is situated on the southern suburb of Milan. The construction begun in 1135, with several changes during the years. Inside the church mirables frescos from the XVI and XVII centuryies can be found.
The cloister is ancient part (around the XIII century), and the tower (known in the local dialect as Ciribiciaccola) is in a particular style that can be found in Lombardy.
Tradition says that the famous Grana cheese was invented here by the monks. An ancient library, a mill, and a shop of local food are part of the complex.
